Our Spotlight Hound AJ!

This handsome fellow is AJ pictured here with his foster mom Tracey. He is a very cuddly, snuggly boy with a great personality. Flash Will Never Leave His Foster Home

That is because his foster people, Brandi and Jared Olvey of McCalla, Alabama, love him so much that they could not bare to see him go. They have now officially adopted this sweet dude! Congratulations to you, Flash!

Update on Bentley (aka Zeus) and Miss Mamie

These two gorgeous hounds are Bentley and Miss Mamie. They were adopted by Irene and David Stiehl of Madison, New Jersey! "They are tanning themselves in the garden and loving life!" His parents tell us that Bentley is a little hard headed...but "ADORABLE!" Both of these babies are cuddlers and have brought a lot of joy to the Stiehl's home...so much so that maybe we'll be able to talk them into a 3rd hound soon. We love to see these homeless dogs find wonderful loving forever homes. Thanks for the update!

One Last Puppy...Miss Kahlua

This is Kahlua! She is the last of the Puppies of 2009 left at BHRA. She is just a fabulous little girl and she deserves her own forever home just like all of her brothers and sisters. Please visit our website to read more about Kahlua!

A great day was had by all in Jemison, Alabama at the Bassets and Bubbles Car Wash! Lulu and Lexie the Bassts were on hand to lend their moral support. Bella Garret, Dianne Garret's granddaughter, was a wonderful sign girl. Some great guys from the fire house pitched in and helped wash cars. Trudy Phillips took these photos, including a shot of a Redheadded Woodpecker that showed up for the fun.

Baby Has Been Adopted!

Wonderful news! We have a new adoption to announce!

Baby (now known as Ruby) has been adopted by Bob and Beth Roberts of Pike Road, Alabama!

She has a great new home where she will be loved dearly. Her parents recently lost their previous Bassets at 15 years of age and they are ready for a new companion. Baby will go on walks with her dad everyday and she will be spoiled rotten!

We have a GREAT event coming up this weekend! It is our "Bassets and Bubbles Car Wash" taking place this Saturday at the Jemison Fire Department. Bassets and Bubbles Car Wash

Join us for our "Bassets and Bubbles Car Wash" in Jemison, Alabama at the Jemison Fire Department on July 11th, 2009 from 12:00 - 3:00. The cost is $5 per car and $10 per truck or SUV. From I65 take exit 219 and turn right on County Road 42. Hope to see you there!
